Feel stronger, more confident, and more like yourself again.

Your body goes through an incredible amount of change during pregnancy, birth, and the months that follow. Whether you’re a few weeks postpartum or several years out from having a baby, you don’t have to simply accept pain, leaking, weakness, or discomfort as your new normal.

Postpartum physical therapy can help you understand what is happening in your body, address symptoms, rebuild strength, and confidently return to the activities you love.

At Anewu, you’ll receive personalized one-on-one care directly with Dr. Amanda, with treatment based on your body, your birth experience, and your goals.

You may benefit from postpartum physical therapy if you are experiencing:

✔️ Urinary or fecal leakage
✔️ Pelvic pressure or heaviness
✔️ Pelvic organ prolapse symptoms
✔️ Pelvic or low back pain
✔️ Pain with intimacy
✔️ Abdominal weakness or diastasis recti
✔️ Difficulty returning to exercise
✔️ Pain or discomfort with running, lifting, or other activities
✔️ Scar discomfort following a C-section or other birth-related injury
✔️ A feeling that your body just doesn’t feel like it used to

What We Can Work On Together

Restore Your Core & Pelvic Floor

Understand how your breathing, abdominal muscles, pelvic floor, and whole body work together. We’ll identify areas that need attention and develop a personalized plan to rebuild strength and coordination.

Address Pain & Pelvic Floor Symptoms

Pelvic pain, pressure, leaking, constipation, painful intimacy, and other symptoms are common after pregnancy—but you don’t have to live with them.

Heal & Reconnect With Your Body

Your postpartum recovery is unique. Depending on your needs, treatment may include hands-on therapy, scar and tissue mobility, pelvic floor rehabilitation, breathing strategies, and individualized therapeutic exercise.

Return to Exercise & the Activities You Love

Whether your goal is to take a walk without discomfort, return to strength training, get back to running, or simply feel strong carrying your baby, we’ll create a progressive plan to help you get there. Ready to get back to running? Learn more about [Return to Running & Fitness]

When Should I Start Postpartum Physical Therapy?

There is no single timeline for postpartum recovery. Some women benefit from an evaluation in the early weeks after birth, while others seek care months or even years later.

You do not need to wait until you have a problem. A postpartum evaluation can help you understand how your body is recovering and identify areas where additional support may be beneficial.

Your Postpartum Evaluation With Dr. Amanda

Your first visit is a chance to talk about your pregnancy, birth experience, current symptoms, and goals. Together, we’ll determine what your body needs and create a personalized plan for your recovery. As a mother of four, Dr. Amanda understands firsthand that postpartum recovery happens alongside the demands of caring for a baby, managing a household, and finding your way back to yourself. You deserve care that meets you where you are—not where you think you should be.
