Return to Running & Fitness

Jogging With Stroller

Get back to running, training, and the activities you love.

Whether you’re returning to exercise after having a baby, coming back from an injury, or simply frustrated that pain, leaking, or pelvic floor symptoms are holding you back, you deserve a plan that meets you where you are.

At Anewu, I combine my pelvic health and orthopedic physical therapy experience to help you build strength, improve movement, and return to the activities that matter to you—with confidence.

You may benefit from this specialized care if you:

✔️ Leak urine while running, jumping, lifting, or exercising
✔️ Feel pelvic pressure or heaviness during activity
✔️ Experience pelvic, hip, or low back pain while exercising
✔️ Are returning to running after pregnancy or childbirth
✔️ Feel weaker or less stable after pregnancy
✔️ Have pain that keeps returning when you increase your activity
✔️ Are unsure how to safely progress your workouts
✔️ Want to rebuild strength after an injury or period of inactivity
✔️ Want to return to running, strength training, hiking, or other high-impact activities

Your Return to Activity Plan

Returning to exercise isn't about simply being told to “take it easy.” It’s about understanding what your body needs and progressively building your capacity.

Together, we may work on:

Strength & Stability

Build the strength and control needed for running, lifting, jumping, and other activities.

Pelvic Floor Function

Address leaking, pressure, pain, or other pelvic floor symptoms that may show up during exercise.

Running & Impact Progression

Gradually increase impact, distance, intensity, and training volume based on how your body responds.

Movement & Mechanics

Look at how your hips, core, spine, breathing, and pelvic floor work together during your chosen activities.

A Personalized Exercise Plan

You’ll leave with a plan designed around your goals—not a generic list of exercises.

You Don't Have to Give Up the Activities You Love

Pelvic floor symptoms, pain, or postpartum changes don't have to mean giving up running or exercise.

Whether you're hoping to run your first mile after having a baby, return to your regular training routine, or simply exercise without worrying about leaking or pain, I can help you develop a plan to move forward with confidence.

Your body may need a different approach—not less activity.

Your Evaluation With Dr. Amanda

Your first visit will focus on understanding your history, symptoms, activity level, and goals. We’ll identify what may be contributing to your symptoms and develop a personalized plan to help you safely progress toward the activities you want to do. With a background in orthopedic physical therapy and specialized training in pelvic health, I take a whole-body approach to returning you to the activities you love.
