That’s completely okay! You do not need to reschedule your appointment because you’re on your period. I can provide a pad to help keep you comfortable, and we can still perform the same examination and treatment. If you prefer not to have an internal examination while you’re on your period, we can focus on external pelvic floor treatment, therapeutic exercise, and other areas of the body instead. We’ll always work together to choose what feels most comfortable for you.
At your initial evaluation, I’ll take the time to understand your history, symptoms, and goals before completing a thorough evaluation tailored to your needs. From there, I’ll explain my findings and offer personalized treatment options, including hands-on care and therapeutic exercises you can continue at home. You’ll always have choices and a clear understanding of why we’re recommending each part of your care. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels right for you and supports your goals.
I offer 55-minute one-on-one treatment sessions focused on you and your individual goals. Because the body works as a connected system, I look beyond the area where you’re experiencing symptoms and consider how the pelvic floor, core, hips, spine, breathing, and movement patterns may be contributing. My goal is to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care that addresses the bigger picture—not just the symptoms.
Anewu Physical Therapy is an out-of-network practice. Payment is due in full at the time of your appointment. After your visit, I can provide you with a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Your out-of-network benefits and reimbursement are determined by your individual insurance plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider before your first visit to understand your coverage. I’m happy to provide any documentation needed to support your reimbursement claim.
Absolutely. I understand that arranging childcare isn’t always easy, especially with little ones. You’re welcome to bring your child with you to your appointment. The treatment space is cozy, so I recommend bringing whatever will help your child stay comfortable and occupied during your visit. My goal is to make your appointment as easy and stress-free as possible.
I kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.I understand that unexpected circumstances and illness happen, and I’ll do my best to work with you when circumstances arise. Whenever possible, please provide as much notice as you can so I have an opportunity to offer the appointment to another patient. Thank you for respecting my time and the time of other patients.
If you’re interested in a care package, I recommend starting with an initial evaluation. From there, I can help you determine whether a package or individual visits would be the best fit for your goals and needs. If you’re interested in the Pregnancy & Birth Preparation Program, you can also learn more about the program and schedule your evaluation directly.Packages are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Any remaining visits must be used within one year of the purchase date.
In California, you can generally begin physical therapy without a physician referral. However, insurance requirements can vary, and your individual plan may require a referral or authorization for reimbursement. Since Anewu is an out-of-network practice, I recommend checking with your insurance provider if you plan to seek reimbursement
